The Centre Choréographique National (CCN) – Ballet de Lorraine is one of Europe’s most acclaimed companies with a rich and extensive contemporary repertory. Making its West Coast debut with White Bird, the company of 26 dancers will offer a wide-ranging program, set to classical and modern scores, by today’s most highly regarded choreographers from France and around the globe.
Based in Nancy, France, The CCN-Ballet de Lorraine is under the direction of Petter Jacobsson. The company dedicates itself to contemporary choreographic creation as well as retaining and performing an extensive repertory made up of some of our generations most highly regarded choreographers. With a successful dancing background, including being a Principal dancer with Sadler’s Wells Royal Ballet for nine years, and working with Merce Cunningham and Twyla Tharp in New York, Petter Jacobsson has been Artistic Director of CCN Ballet de Lorraine since 2011.
