Gaumont at 120: Twelve Unseen Treasures

The National Gallery of Art hosts Gaumont at 120: Twelve Unseen Treasures in tribute to the world’s oldest film production company, which now has a catalog of more than 1,000 pictures and has even branched out into American television with shows such as Hannibal. The offerings range from the classic crime comedy Les Tontons Flingueurs (1963) to the Modigliani biopic Les Amants de Montparnasse (1958) to the silent 15th-century period drama Le Miracle des Loups (1924), boasting a cast of thousands and accompanied by live piano.
