Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe brings together nearly 150 examples of footwear ranging from 16th-century Venetian chopines (platform shoes whose height both reflected the wearer’s status and protected her feet from dirty streets) to modern-day high-fashion designs by Chanel, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, and others.
