L’Avant-Scène presents Molière’s beloved comédie-ballet Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme (1670) on December 7 and 8 at 8pm, and December 9 at 2pm at the Whitman College Class of 1970 Theater. With Monsieur Jourdain, a nouveau riche who tries to develop the cultural and social habits of aristocrats, Molière satirizes middle-class manners.
The production, directed by Florent Masse, features a new generation of L’Avant-Scène actors: James Facon 20, Caroline Stafford 18, Donald Della Pietra 20, Jivahn Moradian 20, Ellie Maag 19, Isabel Leigh 19, Kali Radu, Nick Shashkini 21, Joseph Prentice, Ben Lawton 18 & William Griffith 21.
