French director Agnès Varda will be giving two lectures as part of the Charles Eliot Norton Lectures at Harvard University. Entitled “Cinema: The Language of the Century” (February 26) and “Crossing the Borders” (February 27), these lectures will be given at 4 pm at Sander’s Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
On top of that, a retrospective of her movies is organized by the Harvard Film Archive. The screenings will take place from January 26 to March 5 at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, Harvard University. In addition to the screening of twelve of her films, two special events (“Agnès Varda in Person”), held in February, will feature the filmmaker herself.
