A new exhibition is coming to the Blum & Poe art gallery in Los Angeles from January 16 to March 3. French-Chilean Alejandro Jodorowsky (filmmaker, writer) and his wife Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky (painter, costume designer) present pascALEjandro, a collaboration of illustrations and vivid colors that the couple has been working on for almost a decade. Blum & Poe’s exhibit, Alchemical Love, is the first major US presentation of the artists’ collaborative work and it features selections from the past two years of pascALEjandro.
Accompanying this exhibition, the Hammer Museum will host a screening of Jodorowsky’s latest film, Endless Poetry (2016) on January 16 in the Billy Wilder Theater. This film is also a collaborative work of the married couple and their family, as Montandon-Jodorowsky worked on costume design, and their sons Adan and Brontis also starred in the movie. Following the film, there will be a Q&A with the artists.
