The Little Red Riding Hood

We all know the story of the Little Red Riding Hood and yet… In the beautifully concise, archetypal language of fairy tales, French author Joël Pommerat rewrites the steps of the most famous story, preserving its original structure while teasing out a profound rite of initiation and passage. Dialogues are little jewels of humor. The show, playing subtly with shadows and lights, the sound evocations and an interpretation of a great precision, will take the spectators from fear to laughter.

Created in 2004, the play has met with resounding success ever since it began and has been staged and sold out in France and around the world. It is considered to be one of Pommerat’s major work. The seriousness, the gentleness, the evocative power of Pommerat, his delicateness as well, have made this Little Red Riding Hood one of the most beautiful spectacles ever.

The play starts at 7:30 pm.
Performance in French with projected English subtitles.
