Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams

SEPTEMBER 10, 2021-FEBRUARY 20, 2022

Brooklyn Museum
200 Eastern Parkway
Brooklyn, NY 11238

A one-time gallerist with a passion for gardening, Christian Dior drew inspiration from both art and flowers in creating his lavish New Look, the wasp-waisted, full-skirted style that made him famous when it debuted in 1947. Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams examines the rise, evolution, and enduring influence of the fashion house he founded through some 200 couture garments, as well as accessories, photographs, original sketches, runway videos, and other archival materials.
