Bernard Frize at Galerie Perrotin

JANUARY 15-FEBRUARY 19, 2022

Perrotin New York
130 Orchard Street
New York, NY 10002

In 2019, the Centre Pompidou presented a major retrospective of the work of Bernard Frize (born 1949), describing him as “perhaps the most interesting, the most important [painter] of his generation.” The artist executes each series of paintings according to precise protocols in order to limit self-expression as much as possible. The beautiful results of his “industrial” approach are on view in an exhibition of new works filling two of Galerie Perrotin’s three floors.
