Etienne Athea: Never Forget

Etienne Athéa was born in Paris in 1981 and chose Brittany as his place of residence. He developed a passion for North America early on. The series of photographs he is showing today at the Institut Franco-Américain in Rennes, France, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, brings together photos taken in New York in 2001, shortly after the events, as well as images taken in 2011 during the commemorations. His work plays with light, movement, captures fixed subjects or in action, and seeks to isolate emotion and tenderness through looks and gestures
