Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech”

JULY 3-SEPTEMBER 26, 2021

Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston
25 Harbor Shore Drive
Boston, MA 02210

Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech” is an immersive retrospective of the work of the boundary-breaking African American designer, who founded the cult streetwear line Off-White in 2013 and became artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear in 2018. Covering his pursuits in fashion, music, art, furniture, and graphic design, the show illustrates Abloh’s creative flexibility – or restlessness – which has also led him to team up with companies from IKEA to Evian and, most famously, Nike.
